Sola Gratia Ministries Staff
"But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;"
--From Peter's Epistle to the elect pilgrims of the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia.
C. Ryan Jenkins
Chris is an ordained baptist minister and a Ph.D. student in New Testament Exegesis at
Trinity Evangelical Divinity School,
in Deerfield, Illinois. His testimony is an incredible story
of God's grace in the life of a lost sinner. Chris founded the Ministry in 1997 initially
as a personal ministry of evangelism, and has slowly built the ministry into a hub of online
Evangelism, Christian theology, and Apologetics. Chris' sole passion in life is the study
of the Triune God through His inspired Word. If you are interested, you may read some of
the theological papers he has
written. His current research interests include studying Jewish Background material of the Second Temple period (i.e., OT
Apocryphal & Pseudepigraphical books, and the Sedarim and tractates of the Mishnah,
Talmud, and Tosephta), developing an "Apostolic Hermeneutic" that is normative for Christian
interpretation (derived from an analysis of intra-testamental exegesis, i.e., the use of the
OT in the NT), and philosophical hermeneutics (particularly an exploration of the utility of
applying speech-act theory
to understanding biblical revelation).
Epistemologically, he is a soft/moderate (i.e., non-classical) foundationalist (as all sentient-communicative creatures are), and he is willing to admit it, even if many in the academy will not (ironically, it is this denied foundational truth which provides the necessary precondition for such individuals to even begin to understand, organize, communicate, and interpret the particular truths they encounter in concrete experience). Although appreciative of his dispensational heritage, and the insights offered by advocates of the so-called "New Covenant Theology," Chris believes that redemptive history is best read through the lens of a classically covenantal framework. Chris, his wife Laura, and their sons Christopher Jr. and Calvin Nicholas currently live in Central Illinois.

Ryan Koehl
Ryan is an Assistant State's Attorney in Lake County, Illinois. The passion of Ryan's life is to glorify God by making
known the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a world of lost sinners who so
desperately need His grace. To that end, he sees his primary role in
Christ's Church as one of evangelism. However, he recognizes the futility of
evangelistic efforts apart from discipleship in biblical doctrine.
Therefore, he is equally committed to the study of theology and apologetics
in order to be fully equipped to fulfill the ministry to which God has
called him. Recognizing the evangelistic and theological opportunities, he
joined Sola Gratia Ministries in August, 1999. In serving as ministry legal Counsel and Associate Staff Apologist, he intends to use apologetics to strengthen the Christian faith of other believers and as
a tool of evangelism. Finally, Ryan is deeply troubled by the shallow nature of
modern-day Christianity. Therefore, he is especially committed to reminding
visitors of this ministry that genuine repentance is a necessary element of
saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Ryan and his wife Michelle currently live in
Mundelein, Illinois.

Chris Kuhn
Chris is the teaching pastor for Faith Community Bible Church in Fortuna California. Chris began his pursuit of intense theological study at the Master's College in 1998, graduating with a B.A. in Bible Exposition in 1999 (2 Tim. 2:15). Shortly thereafter, he began further theological training at the Master's Seminary, where he graduated with a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree. He is currently pursuing an M.A. in Biblical Counseling at the Master's College, a degree that he hopes to complete in 2005. Chris' goal with the ministry of apologetics is to clearly demonstrate to the unbelieving world that the Bible has the answers, either specifically, or in principle, to every question of life (1 Peter 3:15). Chris' principle motivation in answering various theological questions, refuting false doctrine, and discussing various theological issues, emanates from a personal conviction of his personal responsibility to edify believers (Col. 1:28) and to present the truth of God's Word to unbelievers. Chris gives thanks and praise to God for this unique ministry opportunity, and he looks forward to dialoguing with those whom the Lord's providence directs to him. If you are interested, you may read some of the theological papers he has written. Chris, his wife Bryce, and their daughter Grace currently live in Fortuna California.

Earl Rolley
Earl is currently a student at The Master's College in Santa Clarita,
CA, and the Firewall Cognizant Design Engineer for
Jet Propulsion Laboratory located in Pasadena,
CA. He laments the intellectual laziness and relativistic reasoning that
is so blatantly characteristic of our contemporary Society. Having repeatedly
witnessed the debilitating effects of this unfortunate situation, Earl
has an intense desire to know God's Word more intimately so that he might
be better equipped to give an answer to all whom ask the reason for the
hope that is in him (1 Pet 3:15). Therefore, Earl is committed to discipleship
as a responsibility of every true believer, and he is as equally committed
to the absolute and sole sufficiency of Scripture. "As iron sharpens iron,"
we mature Christians must disciple those who are less so in order to produce
saints who are skilled and equipped to defend the light in a dark and
dying world. That is the vision that Earl has and he is committed to achieving
it by integrating his skills in information technology with his understanding
of theology. Earl and his family currently live in Castaic, California.

and is currently taking courses via correspondence.
Camden and his wife Erica currently live in Central Illinois.
